RIP, Greatestjournal

I had really hoped you'd hang in there long enough for us to wrap up the RP without having to juggle everything over here, but after teasing us along for months, you cacked when we're down to the last few days of game-time. *sigh*

Several of our players haven't bothered to re-create their character journals here; I'm not sure if some of them intend to. Me, I'm just twonked off at the timing. I had just decided that GJ would probably last long enough, and taken down almost all my character icons so they wouldn't be just taking up space on the IJ servers. Now I have to re-upload them (not that it's going to be that much work, just. Timing = very annoying.)

Also, when leafing through my notebook last night, I discovered I'd written two different versions of the exact same scene. D'oht! The first version was better, too. Maybe if I got a little more sleep, I'd remember "oh hey, didn't I already scribble this down once?" Then again, maybe I wouldn't - the mind is the first thing to... to... well, to do something. I think.

Follow the Bouncing Synapses...

Here's a sample progression of how my thought processes go in the morning.

On the way home from work a couple of weeks ago (in the very very SLOW traffic), my carpool started making words, acronyms and silly sound effects from the license plate letters of the vehicles around us. The following morning, I looked at a truck in front of our car and the following progression went through my head:

YRE --> ire --> Dies irae? --> Dies IRAAAT!

(Which doesn't make a whole heck of a lot of sense unless you've been in a group chat for the RP I'm in; IRAAAT stands for "I rewindowed at an awkward time" - because one of our members has an uncanny knack for rejoining the chat just as somebody makes an outrageous or socially unacceptable comment. More a "Moment of OMGWTF?!" than a Day of Wrath.)

...so. Yeah. >,> We're not even going INTO this morning's commute discussion.

Because it may yet turn out to have relevance for the game.

Fear it.
