...this is why we don't write fic when we only have another fic-writer's take on the canon. Too many questions, not enough facts to hang even a PWP on. <s>...dang plot(what-plot)bunnies....</s>

Okay, I know that muscle weighs more than fat and all that, but I haven't been hitting the gym long enough put on that much of it yet. So why am I three pounds heavier today than I was at the start of last weekend?!? I swear, I didn't eat that much. *facepalm*

Arms are not as sore as I feared they would be, though. Either I didn't hit the weights hard enough, or the stretches afterwards really did do as much good as advertised.

Writing... well, some progress there, albeit of the slow and plodding variety. Have made two attempts at starting my kinkfest prompt, and hated them both; I do have a vague idea of where I want it to go, but I'm having trouble with how to begin it. "Setup goes first" didn't work, so next attempt is to just hit it running in medias res, and explain the 'why' via flashback... if I explain it at all.

Briefly considered signing up for Twitter, thinking maybe it would help me with being concise. But then I realized I just don't have that much to update with over the course of a day - or week - anyhow. ^^;; (Besides, the site seems to be getting overwhelmed on a regular basis, at the moment.)

Also, I need more sleep.

I was a little surprised to find myself poking at some of the bits and pieces for my old "30_lemons" claim for Sephiroth and Cloud recently... but I know why that particular plot-bunny arose from the dead.

I blame Crisis Core.

The AU-verse I had started ignored anything but the original game canon, so I don't have to worry about AC, BC, CC (and however many other letters of the alphabet they try to milk the fans for...) but I will admit, the Seph bits in CC are probably what jump-started me on it again. He's human in the game - capable of hurt feelings, equipped with **GASP** a sense of humor, albeit a snarky one.

Of course, he's still an arrogant son-of-an-alien, too, but c'mon, it's Sephiroth. What did you expect?

Not that there aren't still things about the game that drive me up a wall - Genesis and the Bad Play Quotes of DEWM, Anjeal's name (also his English voice actor doesn't do much for me), the fact that they made me agree with Hojo about something (he can't stand all the "Loveless" quotes either) - but overall it's been great fun to watch.

Anyway, I have no idea how long the inspiration will last or whether it'll result in any more finished themes or filler bits. If it does, I'll probably post here.

I had really hoped you'd hang in there long enough for us to wrap up the RP without having to juggle everything over here, but after teasing us along for months, you cacked when we're down to the last few days of game-time. *sigh*

Several of our players haven't bothered to re-create their character journals here; I'm not sure if some of them intend to. Me, I'm just twonked off at the timing. I had just decided that GJ would probably last long enough, and taken down almost all my character icons so they wouldn't be just taking up space on the IJ servers. Now I have to re-upload them (not that it's going to be that much work, just. Timing = very annoying.)

Also, when leafing through my notebook last night, I discovered I'd written two different versions of the exact same scene. D'oht! The first version was better, too. Maybe if I got a little more sleep, I'd remember "oh hey, didn't I already scribble this down once?" Then again, maybe I wouldn't - the mind is the first thing to... to... well, to do something. I think.
