Journey to Gestalt

Y'know, before the Iron Man movie got me back into Marvel fandom and made me learn more about the Avengers, I would never have thought twice about this statement:

"I’ve been known to sit on the couch and stretch the hank between my feet to wind balls."

Now, the poster was in a community on Ravelry, and referring to yarn - but all I could think (as I snickered to myself like a 12-year-old boy) was, "Oooh, kinky, Jan! But I thought Reed was the stretchy one...."
