mood: frustrated
Frustration is getting sucked into a fandom just a little bit late... a lot of good fanworks have already been completed for it, so you get one huge joyous glut of stuff at the start...

... and then sit and wait and wait and wait and hope that something new and wonderful comes out for it. And beat your head against the wall when the only person who posts consistently in the fan community writes nothing but OOC crack that hasn't been beta'ed.

Oh, that is harsh. I don't know which fandom you're talking about, I've had that happen. You get into something, you read everything you can get your hands on, you hunt around for more, but then... you just have to wait. Sigh.

It's a Marvel comics slash fandom (eh heh). And I think it would have been easier if I'd gotten into it a while back when most of the long epic fics were just coming out - then I'd be more used to sitting back and waiting patiently for the next installment.

As it was, I had a huge archive of finished fics to read through immediately, and got spoiled. ^^;; (And the comm just announced a big project which probably has distracted a few of the better writers with new plans & plotbunnies...)
